Welcome to My Classroom! {Part Two}

I recharged my camera battery!  Here are some more photos of my little room.  By the way, thank you so much to those of you who have left the sweet comments!  It just melts my heart!  :)

It's hard to see but top image is one of my table signs.  I'm still going with the owl theme this year.  The yellow one is from Party City with owls glued on each side.  I used these as filler throughout the room.

I love the posters from A Year of Many Firsts.  She has a great Daily 5 pack!

The little make-shift bulletin board on the right is focused on math.  The shape and color mini-posters are from Cara Carroll, the number posters can be found in HERE in several different color options, and the days of the week are in my classroom decor pack.

I made this with leftover fabric and ribbon.  I cheated and just hot glued the triangles onto the ribbon!  Super easy and it still looked good.

I went with wrapping paper on the word wall.  The black is from Party City and the polka dot is from Hobby Lobby.

Spelling, vocabulary, and high frequency words will go in this pocket chart.  I am going to use the table below for word work.  Extra materials will be stored underneath the table and out of sight!

I'm not sure what I am going to do about the pink chair.  It doesn't match but I still love it.  For now, it's hidden behind my easel.

I keep a lot of my math manipulatives here and the busy baskets that we use for practicing fact fluency are in the Ikea baskets.  I need to work on updating those!

The area in the corner is my Common Core Writing Workstation which is still in progress.  I will post on the specifics of it in my next post.  You can look at it in my TPT store.  It's designed specifically for second grade.

I am loving these trees I got on sale at the teacher store!  I was going to do more nests for the owls but I lost motivation...;)  I like for that wall to be the focal point when you walk in.  Now to figure out what to do in the middle on the air unit.  I may use it for an anchor chart but I am open to suggestions!

That's my classroom!  Thanks for stopping by and for being such an inspiration to me!  I don't know what I did before without this wonderful blogging community! :)
