Hi friends!  I finally got back into my classroom with the good camera to take some pictures of the tree my mom and I constructed.   I am using it to post my standards .  And it is now the focal point of the room.   I laminated the owls and then cut them out in the profile of the owl.  I hot glued a clothespin to the bottom.  I thought I could always add more if needed but I try to stick to one standard at a time for each subject.   Here's the view from the door. I made myself start working on my classroom last week.  We are going on vacation next week, so I wanted most of it finished before we go.  I had this lamp in my room that didn't look too terribly bad, but it needed a makeover.  I wish I had taken a before shot.  It was a brown color and needed a bigger lamp shade.  So, I bought some trusty ole spray paint and here is how it turned out. I used Krylon's watermelon spray paint.  It only took 2 coats.  I LOVE how it turned out.  I picked up the shade at Target.   Here is a little peek at my desk: It is not yet finished.  I will post pics when it is.  I moved it across the room and the bottom is wrapped in paper with border attached to the bottom.  I used different sized tissue paper flowers in the corner.
